HIV/AIDS

Since it was first diagnosed 1981, Aids has become an international problem. The number of people living with HIV is estimated to be 40 million. At the end of 2005 more than 25 million people had died of AIDS and/or its related illnesses. It has been said if the AIDS prevention actions are not scaled up, the AIDS epidemic will cause more than 280 million casualties by 2050.
